Job Title: Boarding House Assistant Location: St Michael Abbey School
Hours: On duty every other weekend and at agreed times in the week
Responsible to: Head of Boarding We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic assistant houseparent to work within our growing boarding teamThis role would be perfect for a person with a “can do” attitude who may be considering a career in Education and is passionate about quality pastoral care.Working within the Boarding department to provide a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment within the boarding house, ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of all boarders and taking an active interest in the lives of the boarders in the house. The Boarding House Assistant will play a key role in the pastoral care and day-to-day supervision of students, helping them to develop independence, resilience, and a sense of community.,the assistant houseparent will take an active interest in the lives of the pupils in the house. Supervise boarders during duty times, including evenings and alternate weekends, ensuring routines are followed and the environment is calm and supportiveThis position is residential (self-contained accommodation provided)Some previous experience of working with children is essential..Start Date – ASAP
