Duties and Responsibilities The duties of the post holder are to provide a full range of general medical services which will include domiciliary visits as deemed appropriate. You will also be encouraged to utilise and develop any skills for the improvement of services to patients, such as minor operations, child health surveillance, family planning, training etc and the Partnership encourages active engagement in developing and delivering new services. This will be subject to presentation of the appropriate certificates and update of relevant courses. Clinical Duties A Salaried GP session is defined as 4 hours 10 min. On average this session will include 2.5-3 hours of patient facing clinical time and will match the clinical sessions of partners. Appointments are scheduled at 10-15 minute intervals. Patient List Allocation Whilst the patients are able to see any GP of their choice, the practice uses the named GP to encourage continuity of care, and as a way to maintain an equitable administrative workload. Named GP numbers are in proportion to the number of weekly sessions worked. As a Bank Salaried GP you will be responsible for the administrative workload of the person that you are covering. Administration/paperwork The Partners believe that the job plan allows sufficient time to complete all administrative duties related to your clinical work, recognising the fact that all practitioners work at different rates. This will include some reports. Should a Salaried GP need to complete a report outside your usual working hours you will be paid the report fee in addition to your salary. Group and Continual Professional Development We value continual professional development and professionalism and to that end we create time for peer support. We encourage open dialogue and conversation that will assist you with your personal development and growth. The practice is a training practice and you will be expected to provide appropriate support for any students or trainees in the Practice.
