Crynodeb
Role PurposeTo lead operational assurance across the TfL account, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. This technically qualified role supports engineering service delivery, oversees subcontractor performance, and acts as a key point of contact for projects, small works, and technical advisory. The role also drives innovation, supports energy and sustainability initiatives, and ensures robust incident response and internal audit processes.
Key Accountabilities
-Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across all engineering services, including asset and CAFM data integrity.
-Provide technical advisory support to engineering delivery teams, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement.
-Lead subcontractor management, including performance reviews, compliance checks, and innovation opportunities.
-Oversee small works and act as the engineering point of contact for projects, ensuring alignment with account standards.
-Coordinate engineering incident response and ensure timely resolution and reporting.
-Conduct internal health & safety audits and support audit readiness across the account.
-Act as the energy and sustainability lead, working with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements.
-Collaborate with the Commercial Manager on additional works, variations, and commercial governance.
-Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
Person SpecificationQualifications:
-HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
-NEBOSH or IOSH certification (desirable).
Experience:
-Proven experience in a technical operations or assurance role within facilities management or infrastructure.
-Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, engineering standards, and subcontractor management.
-Experience in client-facing roles, ideally within public sector or transport environments.
Skills & Competencies:
-Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive accountability.
-Proficient in CAFM systems, asset management, and reporting tools.
-Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to service improvement.
