We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Personal Support Assistant on a 6.5-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary:

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and confidential Personal Support Assistant to provide essential administrative and secretarial support. The role is focused on ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the office or service area by managing complex schedules, handling sensitive documentation, and acting as a primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders. This role requires excellent administrative skills, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive, proactive, and confidential secretarial support, including the expert management of complex electronic diaries, scheduling meetings, and ensuring all necessary preparations (documents, booking rooms, etc.) are completed well in advance.
Act as the primary point of contact, screening calls, emails, and correspondence, prioritising urgent matters, and directing enquiries to the appropriate person or service when necessary.
Establish and maintain efficient and secure electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and record retention policies.
Organise and coordinate travel, accommodation, and related logistics for managers and team members as required.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity, adhering strictly to the Councils confidentiality and data protection policies.
Essentials:

Proven experience working in a demanding secretarial, administrative, or personal assistant role, preferably within a large public sector or corporate environment.
High proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for scheduling, communication, documentation, and data presentation.
A demonstrable track record of maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive information.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
