**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. About Role
Are you reliable, hardworking, and ready to join a friendly and supportive team?
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaners to work at Churcher's College (Petersfield and Liphook).
As a Cleaner with Sodexo, you will play a key role in ensuring the school standards of cleanliness are met on a daily basis whilst maintaining a professional and presentable appearance at all times. This is an essential role that requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
What you’ll do:
To maintain a tidy appearance and professional conduct at all times
To monitor and maintain all areas of responsibility to the set standard of cleanliness within the timeframe given, complying at all times with standards laid down in the work schedule
To clean bathroom and changing facilities throughout the school
To clean classrooms, meeting rooms, multi-use facilities
To undertake a periodic cleaning programme as directed
Ensure safety signage used at all times – e.g., wet floor.
Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – comply with company regulations, wearing uniform provided
To follow COSHH regulations when using chemicals and cleaning equipment
To immediately report defective equipment to the Line Manager
Communicate cleaning material requirements to the Line Manager.
To maintain a safe system of work within the Company Health and Safety Procedures laid down
To assist colleagues with departmental responsibilities once duties are completed
To continue to develop skills and knowledge within the position
Carry out all reasonable tasks as directed by supervisor/ management
Essential
Experience and knowledge from working in a similar environment
Professional and courteous manner
Experience of delivering excellent customer service
Ability to act on instruction
Ability to liaise with people at a Senior Level both internally & externally
Ability to work on own initiative, as there is an element of lone working on occasions
Desirable
Basic First Aid Certificate
