Role overview
As a Flexible Support Officer within our Domestic Abuse Service, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients across refuge, outreach, and helpline services—helping them move forward with safety, independence, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored support to clients in accommodation and outreach settings
* Manage referrals and conduct needs assessments
* Provide guidance on tenancy rights and responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies including police and health professionals
* Facilitate group work and respond to helpline enquiries
* Advocate for clients and support move-on to safe housing
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes
More about you:
* GCSEs (or equivalent)
* At least a year experience in front line work with victims of domestic abuse or vulnerable clients.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
* A compassionate, proactive, and collaborative approach
* Driving and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
