Location: Craven, North Yorkshire
The Operations Team is responsible for the safe and efficient use of 130 minibuses used to transport people in North Yorkshire.
They are a team of over 300 drivers and passenger assistants that operate at locations throughout North Yorkshire.
The team delivers approximately 250,000 passenger journeys per year including 25,000 wheelchair user journeys.
About the Role
We are looking for caring, flexible, and committed people to help us provide this transport.
You will be responsible for the safety of passengers during these journeys and will ensure that the passengers board and alight safely as well as ensuring that any safety equipment is used correctly. Full training in the use of all safety equipment will be provided.
You will need effective communication skills as you will liaise daily with the passengers, carers, and establishment staff. Experience is not essential, however, some experience of assisting passengers in accessible vehicles or working in a similar role would be an advantage for this position.
