Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Senior Practitioner (CSW - Band 4) to join our dynamic team focused on improving the lives of children and families in our community. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and guidance to social workers and other team members, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and monitored. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with children and families, addressing their needs and ensuring their voices are heard. As a Children's Senior Practitioner, you will contribute to the development and execution of innovative strategies that enhance the welfare and development of young people. You will be involved in multi-agency collaboration, working alongside various stakeholders to create a supportive network for the children entrusted to our care. This role requires a blend of leadership, empathy, and resilience as you navigate the complexities of child welfare. Responsibilities
Provide professional supervision and support to social workers in the team.
Monitor and evaluate care plans, ensuring they are aligned with best practices.
Engage with children and families, conducting assessments and developing support plans.
Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to meet the holistic needs of children.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff on child protection and welfare issues.
Participate in case discussions and contribute to team meetings, sharing knowledge and insights.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
A social work qualification and current registration with a relevant professional body.
Experience working in children's services, with a focus on safeguarding and child protection.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children and families.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Proficiency in report writing and maintaining case documentation.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in child welfare.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £28.56
