A leading engineering company is seeking a Design Engineer to join its established department. This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and delivery of specialist filtration and strainer equipment used in demanding industries worldwide
Key Responsibilities
• Produce detailed designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including 3D modelling.
• Support product development through advanced analysis tools such as FEA and CFD.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams on welding, piping, and materials specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and pressure vessel codes (ASME VIII, PD5500).
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for
• HNC in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
• GCSE Grade 5/C or higher in Maths & English.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; SolidWorks & 3D modelling experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding, piping, and materials.
• Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Professional presentation and reliability.
• Initiative, flexibility, and leadership qualities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
