Location: Rochester (Primary School)
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90 – £100 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment where children with SEND can build confidence, independence and essential learning skills.
The school is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs across the school, working both 1:1 and with small groups, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to children with SEND

Supporting pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, or SEMH needs

Assisting teachers in delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities

Encouraging pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and social development

Supporting behaviour in a calm, consistent and therapeutic manner
-
Helping to implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and parents when required

Contributing to a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Supporting sensory needs, movement breaks and individual interventions

Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:-
Experience working with children with SEND (school, nursery or care settings)

Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
-
Patience, resilience and a nurturing personality
-
Good behaviour management and strong communication skills
-
Experience with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties (desirable)
