Personal Care Assistant (Self-Employed) – Female Preferred (Chigwell)
£20 per hour (max) | 10-hour day shifts | Self-employed role

Client Details
Female adult with chronic illness and moderate complex needs, requiring:
• Ceiling track hoist transfers
• Sliding sheet manoeuvres
• General manual handling
• Cough assist and physiotherapy assistance
Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
• Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, grooming, and dressing (the client requires full support with these tasks).
• Support with domestic tasks, meal preparation, and errands.
• Drive/chaperone the client to appointments and social activities as required.
• Assist with work-related care tasks.
• Provide general support throughout the day, with suitable breaks built into the shift.

Requirements
• DBS certificate on the Update Service
• Proof of self-employment (UTR number)
• Reliability, patience, and willingness to learn manual-handling techniques

Desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Experience with Muscular Dystrophy or related conditions

Additional Information
Due to the personal-care nature of this role, a female PA is preferred, in line with the Sex Discrimination Act (1975), Section 7(2)(b).
