Are you the right person for the job?

You’ll thrive here if you:

• Have proven experience as a Buyer within a medium-sized enterprise
• Bring solid knowledge of automotive parts
• Can confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
• Communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and maintain a proactive, can-do attitude
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team

Desirable experience includes:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
• Familiarity with tools like Asana or Jira
• Experience with inventory control systems such as Partsbox
• Driver’s licence preferred but not essential

What will your role look like?

Reporting to the CFO and based onsite at the Kidlington headquarters, you will be central to ensuring smooth operational performance. Your responsibilities will span technical and non-technical purchasing, supplier management, and overseeing the journey of purchased items through the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing and raising orders for contract and non-contract items using both manual and digital requisition systems
• Creating and managing Bills of Materials
• Maintaining accurate supplier information and reviewing supplier performance
• Developing and refining buying processes as needed
• Adjusting component parameters to secure on-time availability and optimal batch sizes
• Chasing and progressing purchase orders in coordination with Production
• Managing inventory levels
• Coordinating the shipping of parts and components to customers worldwide
• Supporting other areas of the business in line with reasonable requests
