Salary: Grade 6, £28,142 x 47.48%
Start Date: The appointment will commence to start as soon as possible
Ynysboeth Community Primary School is looking to recruit an inspirational Family Engagement Officer to work as a member of our team. The post holder must be willing to work with pupils and families throughout the school.
The successful candidate will:
Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Have proven experience and ability to establish and foster strong relationships with parents/carers
Undertake formal inspections of school registers and have experience of SIMS/Bromcom
Work closely with external agencies linked to attendance, health and wellbeing and previous experience of working within a school and knowledge of multi-agency working is essential
Have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures

This role includes attending meetings both with school staff and external agencies regarding the welfare and safeguarding of our pupils, acting as lead professional when required. They will manage and monitor any referrals to outside agencies ensuring that accurate records are kept and signpost our families/carers/staff to support agencies.
The closing date for applications is 11 December 2025 at midnight.PROTECTING CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT RISK IS A CORE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SCHOOL AND COUNCIL. IN ADDITION TO THIS SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITY, THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR THE ROLE WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK.
