Your new company
I'm looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join my client's team on a temporary basis for approximately six months. This role is central to ensuring smooth customer and trade account management, with a focus on delivering outstanding service across multiple communication channels. You will play a key part in processing orders, resolving queries, and supporting mainly consumers and some trade partners to maintain the highest standards of service.
Your new role
- Work closely with the Customer Service & Project Delivery Manager and collaborate with colleagues across sales, operations, marketing, product, accounts, supply chain, and e-commerce.
- Take ownership of resolving customer, sales, and logistics queries, keeping systems and stakeholders updated.
- Progress consumer and trade orders from initiation through to delivery, including handling guarantee claims.
- Provide clear, professional communication across all channels, adapting your style to suit
- Manage customer cases, investigating and resolving complaints or enquiries effectively.
- Handle a wide range of pre‑sales and after‑sales queries such as samples, service calls, pricing reports, failed deliveries, returns, credit claims, and product care guidance.
- Contribute to departmental goals by meeting agreed SLAs, KPIs, and individual objectives.
- Carry out routine clerical tasks and any other duties required to support the smooth running of the department.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates must demonstrate previous experience managing direct consumer queries (e.g., handling customer enquiries, complaints, and account matters directly), rather than solely working in a high‑volume contact centre environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Exposure to CRM systems is essential. You must be immediately available to interview and commence the role.
What you'll get in return
- Contract: Temporary, approx. 6 months
- Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday - Friday)
- Location: Wirral with hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office
