Why Derwentside College?
Derwentside College is one of the top performing colleges in the region for its employer and student satisfaction. We are an ambitious organisation and as a large provider of apprenticeships we are leading the way in delivering a range of outstanding services to learners and employers.
Derwentside College is seeking to appoint a skilled Maintenance Technician to play a key role in the College’s Facilities team. What you will do
The person appointed will support the Facilities team by providing a caretaking and general maintenance service across the College. You will be responsible for carrying out regular inspections of the building, services, facilities and external areas of the College site to ensure a safe environment is maintained for both learners and staff, whilst maintaining accurate records of statutory compliance. You will provide administrative support, including raising purchase orders and preparing summary reports along with supporting the College’s sustainability initiatives and capital projects. You will have experience of working within estates/facilities or the construction/maintenance industry and have the ability to work with minimum supervision, using your own initiative.
What’s in it for you?
• Generous annual leave entitlement (30 days on entry, rising to 35 after 5 years’ service)
