Position: Full-time temporary Customer Service Officer

Location: Liverpool

Contract: until 29/03/26 with the possibility of extension

Working Hours: Mon-Fri - 8:15am -5pm

Pay rate: £13.69 per hour

Brook Street have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Officer to join our public sector client based in Liverpool. This is a temporary assignment which will run until 29/03/26 with a view to extend beyond this date.

Job description:

Working in the Contact Centre as a Customer Services Officer your main responsibility will be to answer calls as well as completing a variety of admin tasks. Calls are received from various bodies, including members of the public, businesses, employees, employers, Local Authorities and building professionals, with the reasons for calling varied in nature. Calls will range from the reporting of an accident, to dealing with a member of the public who requires advice. Resolution of calls will include but is not limited to:

  • Providing answers and guidance where appropriate.
  • Directing callers to complete on-line forms
  • Completing on-line forms on-behalf of callers
  • Sending links to guidance via e-mail
  • Handing off calls to other areas of HSE
  • Re-directing callers to the correct enforcing authority if not for HSE

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a contact centre/front line customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Able to prioritise workloads
