Physiotherapist

Schroders London Wall Place - Corporate | Permanent | Part Time

Up to £52,275 per annum (pro rata) based on experience

7.5 hours per week (1 day per week - Tuesday or Thursday)

The Physiotherapy service line at Schroders is currently rated as 'Outstanding' following the last Quality Assurance Review. We are looking for a Physiotherapist to help meet the demands of our highly utilised Physiotherapy service and to help maintain delivery of the outstanding service provided.

About the Role

The Physiotherapist post is part-time and is based at the corporate onsite location in City of London, within easy walking distance of Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank. It is one of only a few fully integrated onsite centres offering the full range of clinical services alongside a state of the art gym.

As a Physiotherapist at Schroders, you'll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. You also have excellent manual therapy skills, and are confident with exercise prescription. You're a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people.

Clinical Patient Care

  • Undertakes assessments in patients presenting with complex musculoskeletal conditions and conditions masquerading as musculoskeletal pathology

  • Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning skills in complex scenarios to ensure highest quality of care is delivered to patients

  • Appropriately identifies patients who require onward referral to healthcare consultants including the use of escalation pathways for patients presenting with serious pathology.

  • Undertakes treatment underpinned by extensive clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high quality patient outcomes, using the biopsychosocial approach

  • Maintains relevant clinical skills and provides on-going evidence of personal CPD and Professional registration

Case Management/ Administration

  • Manages complex face to face service caseload effectively ensuring cases are discharged appropriately on systems.

  • Ensures that all records are accurately maintained and conform to all professional body, legal requirements and the Nuffield Health clinical governance policies

  • Adheres to the information governance policy to protect patient data at all times

  • Creates and peer reviews clinical reports and ensures clinical content of reports and assessments are clear, objective, and clinically justified.

  • Undertakes service improvement projects in conjunction with line managers, regional clinical leads and other stakeholders.

  • Supports colleagues and less experienced members of staff including administration staff, to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience

Educational Qualifications - Essential:

  • Active HCPC registration

  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Educational Qualifications - Desirable:

  • Experience of the private sector

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise - Essential

  • Significant musculoskeletal experience

  • CPD portfolio reflecting a wide range of physiotherapy experience with a focus on musculoskeletal physiotherapy including musculoskeletal pathology, sports injuries and post-operative therapy

  • Experience of working in the UK healthcare sector

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise - Desirable

  • Experience of working in occupational health physiotherapy settings

  • Experience in presenting health and wellbeing seminars

  • Analysis of medical outcome data.

  • Working in the corporate environment

  • Knowledge and experience underpinned by extensive postgraduate training within the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy
