Job Title: Van Driver & Warehouse OperativeLocation: Daventry, NorthamptonshireJob Type: Temporary - Part timeSalary: £12.50 p.h.Job Overview:We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Van Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our team in Daventry. This is a hybrid role involving local multi-drop deliveries in a company van, as well as general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, loading/unloading, and stock control.Key Responsibilities:Driving Duties:Deliver goods to customers and suppliers across the local region using a company van (typically LWB)Ensure goods are delivered safely, on time, and with a professional attitudeLoad and unload van in accordance with manual handling proceduresComplete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signaturesPerform daily vehicle checks and report any defectsFollow all driving laws, health and safety, and company proceduresWarehouse Duties:Receive, unload, and check incoming stock deliveriesPick and pack orders accurately for dispatchMaintain warehouse cleanliness and organisationCarry out regular stock counts and record inventory dataUse manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) safelySupport other warehouse team members and supervisors as requiredRequirements:Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points, no DR/DD convictions)Previous van driving and warehouse experience desirableGood knowledge of the local area (Daventry & surrounding regions)Physically fit – role involves manual handling and some heavy liftingPunctual, reliable, and self-motivatedGood communication and customer service skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable (but not essential):Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach)Experience with basic warehouse systems / scannersKnowledge of health & safety in a logistics or industrial environmentWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rate with regular hoursOvertime availableFriendly working environmentOn-site parkingStaff training and developmentCompany uniform providedPension schemeLocation: Easily accessible from Rugby, Northampton, Banbury, and surrounding areas.Apply now at workchain.co.uk by completing the online application form.
