We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The Community Care Worker will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those requiring memory care.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual client needs.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with CQC regulations.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism or Alzheimer’s disease.
Requirements
Experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or assisted living environments is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
A background in social work or experience working in memory care settings is a plus.
