Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Safety Stewards to support matchday operations at the bet365 Stadium.

As a Safety Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of visitors to the stadium. The ideal candidate will ensure that guests experience an enjoyable and safe visit by providing accurate and up to date information.

You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the role through a comprehensive induction process, gaining in-depth operational knowledge of the stadium and our associated venues.

Main Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service at all stages of crowd interaction.
• Upholding all safety protocols as per training guidance.
• Adapting to various roles across different settings and venues.
• Supervising continual spectator safety.
• Managing crowd control both inside and outside of the stadium.
• Assisting with parking operations.
• Monitoring area of work for any hazards and reporting these via the appropriate chain of command.
• Providing basic first aid support.

Key Skills and Experience

• Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
• Navigate and resolve challenging and pressured situations.
• Ability to maintain situational awareness in large crowds and high volume environments.
• Fit and active, with the temperament to handle the requirements of the role.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
• Maintain a consistently professional demeanour and presentation.

Availability to work during evenings and weekends to cover matchday fixtures and other events at the stadium or associated venues.

All necessary training will be provided, including the opportunity to work towards achieving Level 2 in Spectator Safety (RQF).

Positions will be offered on a casual and intermittent basis.
