Job Advert

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Health, Safety & Environmental Business Partner to join our team. You will play a
pivotal role in supporting the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E)
management system, ensuring compliance with legislation, best practice, and audit requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to
influence safety culture across the Group and act as a trusted advisor to managers and stakeholders.

This is a hybrid working role, combining office and home-based work. The role will be primarily based at our HMS office in
Stonebridge, Liverpool, with occasional travel to other offices (Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington) as required to meet business
needs.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Providing specialist HS&E advice, guidance, and training to stakeholders across the Group.
* Conducting inspections, audits, and assessments across all locations and workstreams to ensure legal and organisational
compliance.
* Supporting managers with risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, and incident investigations.
* Maintaining and developing the HS&E management system in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 45001 standards.
* Monitoring accident and incident trends, producing reports, and making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
* Advising on contractor management and construction phase plan compliance.
* Developing and delivering HS&E communications, toolbox talks, and training to staff.
* Acting as a role model for safety culture, promoting policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For:

* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) with evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience in providing HS&E support and advice, ideally in housing, construction, or related sectors.
* Knowledge of HS&E legislation, risk management, and industry best practice.
* Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
* Familiarity with ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, and maintaining Safety Management Systems.
* Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Proactive, flexible, and committed to driving continuous improvement and a positive safety culture.
* Internal auditor qualification and experience using ICT systems for HS&E reporting.

Interview Process:

The selection process will be a two-stage process:

* Stage 1 – MS Teams Call: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial virtual interview with the hiring manager. This
will focus on discussing the role, your experience, and suitability for the position.
* Stage 2 – Face-to-Face Interview: Successful candidates from Stage 1 will be invited to a second, in-person interview on Monday
8th December 2025. This will include a presentation and a competency-based interview to assess your knowledge and skills.

Additional Information:

Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks before a start date is agreed:

* Right to work verification
* Qualification certificate check
* 2x completed references
* Occupational Health Questionnaire – Fit For Work
* DBS check (if required for role)
* Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&Cs
