Crynodeb
To provide a range of Positive Behavioural Support services to support children and families referred to the service. Together with other members of the team, to formulate and implement plans for the assessment and intervention and/or management of emotional and behavioural difficulties of clients, based primarily upon the science of applied behaviour analysis (i.e., behavioural science) and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings. The interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including measures of behaviour, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients' care, including frontline workers in health, education, social services and the voluntary sector. To evaluate and make decisions about intervention options taking into account both the theoretical model and highly complex factors concerning historical, environmental and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group. To work as part of the service and provide evidence-based, specialist behavioural function-based assessments and interventions for children and young people with Learning Disability and behaviour that challenges. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the delivery of positive behaviour support services. To provide clinical reports within the appropriate time scales. To provide consultancy and staff support for other staff within multi-professional, service delivery systems for children and young people referred to the service and their carers.
