Sodexo is seeking an experienced Events &Bar Manager to take full responsibility for the daily management, coordination, and delivery of bar and functions services across designated and affiliated sites.
This is a leadership role responsible for minimising risk, maximising operational performance, and delivering excellent guest experiences while maintaining full compliance with contractual requirements, KPIs, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities -Manage and coordinate all bar and function operations across the site
Lead, motivate, and manage frontline teams delivering bar and function services
Plan, organise, and oversee guest services and event delivery
Ensure standards outlined in SLAs, KPIs, and contracts are consistently met
Control budgets, costs, and contribute to commercial performance
Reconcile daily cash takings and resolve discrepancies
Conduct weekly banking and submit financial documentation
Manage stock control, ordering, and weekly stock checks
Deliver training and conduct team briefs, huddles, and safety walks
Drive a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture
Monitor suppliers and service partners to ensure agreed standards are met
Support marketing initiatives and promotional activity
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Provide daily accounting documentation to the Site Administrator
Assist visitors and guests in line with site rules
Carry out additional duties as reasonably required
Essential -
Management experience within Soft FM or hospitality services
Strong people management skills, including recruitment, performance management, and HR processes
Excellent numerical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
High attention to detail and commitment to service standards
Desirable -
Knowledge of military customs and working environments
Experience using Kronos and UDC Payroll systems
Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent)
Food Safety qualification (CIEH Level 3 or equivalent)
