Crynodeb

Salary: £39,862 to £51,356 per year. This is a career graded post and progression through the grades is dependent on criteria as outlined in the Job Profile.


Market Premia: £3000 per annum which is expected to end on 31 March 2028.


ECU: ECU payment up to £ £1003.44 per annum based on 1 FTE. Membership of the ECU is subject to annual review.


Terms: Full time, 37 hour per week, permanent. 2 positions available.

The Role - What You’ll Be Doing:


Lead inspections and ensure compliance across a diverse and exciting caseload
Mentor and support colleagues, sharing your technical expertise
Take the lead on enforcement actions and investigations
Respond swiftly to dangerous structures to protect public safety
Build trusted relationships with developers, architects, and the wider community
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the service
Contribute to strategic decisions and help shape future policy and practice

You will need a full UK driving licence as you will be traveling throughout the Borough and may be using your own transport.





About You - What We’re Looking For:


A confident, experienced professional with 5+ years in building control plan checking and site inspections
Registered at Class 2A–F with the Building Safety Regulator
A chartered member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CABE, CIOB)
Technically strong with a solid grasp of current legislation
Proactive, adaptable, and a collaborative team player
Committed to excellence and passionate about making a difference
Ready to lead by example and take the next step in your career
