Join the Fuse Youth Services Team – Outreach Worker (Part-Time, Temporary until March 2026)
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people, and helping them thrive?
Fuse Youth Services, a local Bridlington-based charity, is seeking dedicated Outreach Workers to join our team on a temporary basis (contract reviewed in March 2026).
We deliver a range of creative and engaging programmes, including Musical Mavericks, Express-2-Destress, the Listening Lounge, STEM Fusion Workshops, and other activities designed to improve wellbeing, reduce mental health challenges, and help young people feel heard and supported. Our mission is to engage, support, and inspire young people across Bridlington and the surrounding areas.
✨ About the Role:
As an Outreach Worker, you’ll help connect with young people in the community, encouraging them to take part in our youth activities.
You’ll work two evenings per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), with the potential for a third evening (Fridays) if an additional youth club session launches. This role could also develop into more hours in the future.
Your work will include:
• Street-based engagement across Bridlington
• Supporting youth sessions at our clubs and mobile facility (East Riding Council’s ‘Our Place Youth Bus’)
• Assisting with workshops and sessions like Musical Mavericks, STEM Fusion, and other creative activities
• Supporting activities that promote mental health, wellbeing, confidence, and resilience
• Helping young people express themselves, feel heard, and develop new skills
• Supporting our empowerment programmes, aged 10–18 build confidence, explore identity, and increase self-esteem
Training & Development:
All training will be provided, including the opportunity to achieve a Level 2 Award in Youth Work.
What We’re Looking For:
• A passionate and enthusiastic attitude toward supporting young people
• Experience engaging with children and young people up to 18 years old (advantageous)
• A Diploma or Certificate in Youth Work Practice (advantageous but not essential)
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check (required)
• Willingness to complete training
Hours & Pay:
• 6 hours per week (2 evenings)
• Potential for an additional 3 hours per week (subject to new youth club opening)
• Pay to be discussed at interview stage
