Are you looking for your next opportunity as a Part-time Sales Assistant? Then look no further, come and join us at Hope House Children’s Hospices by playing a vital role in delivering ‘Our Mission’ helping every child with a life-threatening condition live their best life.

Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Temporary Part-time Sales Assistant to join our team based at Hope House Shop in Ludlow.

You will join us on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week. A standard working week includes Sundays and either one full weekday or two weekday half-days. This is a temporary position for six months, running until 30th June 2026, with the possibility of review. In return, our Part-time Sales Assistant will receive a competitive hourly rate of £12.21.

Hope House Children’s Hospices is a charity that gives every local child with life threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.

Here at Hope House Children’s Hospices, we are on an exciting journey to increase our annual contribution from our retail business by £300,000 to £1,000,000 a year by 2025, enabling us to reach every child and family who need us and to ensure that nobody faces the death of a child alone.

About the Part-time Sales Assistant role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Sales Assistant to join our team in Ludlow reporting to the Shop Management.

You will provide excellent customer service to enhance the profile of the organisation and on occasion, you may be required to act as key holder of the shop when required to ensure business continuity throughout the retail department.

What we are looking for a Part-time Sales Assistant who:


Self-motivated using initiative to achieve goals
Able to work in a team with the ability to get on with people
Excellent customer service skills
Well organised and willing to ‘muck in’ and do whatever is required to ensure the shop functions efficiently and effectively;
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
Numerate with the ability to follow cash handling, recording and banking procedures.
