Summary


We are seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors who have operated at a senior level in large / complex organisations, with particular areas of interest either being strong financial acumen or broader commercial background. The Board is also open to hear from those with a diverse range of experiences who feel that they can make a contribution.

We want to improve the lives of patients, families and carers, across all our communities. And all our colleagues and volunteers within the NCA family - because we know that improving lives means supporting our people to be healthy and happy in their profession. Non-Executive Directors work in partnership with the Chair and the Executive Directors on the Board to advise on the development of strategy and oversee the performance of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. They share collective responsibility with other Directors for the success of the Trust, using available resources to deliver healthcare and improve the health of local communities.

Non-Executive Directors bring independence, external skills and perspectives, ensuring robust governance and high standards across the Trust’s activities. They are held to account by, and engage with, the Council of Governors through quarterly meetings and other forums.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills and experience to influence healthcare delivery, drive innovation, and shape transformational change that improves outcomes for patients and communities.
