Job Opportunity: Head of Year
Hannett Hale Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School, located in the beautiful Eden Valley, Cumbria.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of Year to join the team. This is a full-time role (5 days / 37 hours per week), offered initially on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
As Head of Year, you will:
• Provide pastoral leadership and guidance to students within your year group.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their potential.
• Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote student wellbeing and success.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events, and enrichment activities.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has strong organisational and communication skills.
• Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting young people.
• Has experience in pastoral care or education leadership (desirable but not essential).
Pay & Benefits
• Competitive daily rate: £100 -£125 per day, depending on experience
