Workers Hours per week: 36

This role sits within Children’s Social Care > Cared For & Care Experienced Children > Care Experienced Team 1, providing vital support to care experienced young people to help them achieve positive outcomes.
Role: Personal Advisor – Social Care (Non-Qualified)
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to provide advice, guidance, and practical support to care experienced young people. You will work closely with them to develop Pathway Plans, empower them to access services, and support their transition into independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and practical support to care experienced young people.
Participate in the assessment, preparation, monitoring, and review of Pathway Plans.
Co-ordinate support services and encourage young people to make use of them.
Maintain accurate records of progress and well-being.
Support young people to access health services and maintain positive well-being.
Encourage confidence and aspiration, helping young people achieve their potential.
Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and procedures.
Work as part of a corporate parenting team, liaising with statutory, voluntary, and community agencies.
Attend meetings and represent the department in line with young people’s needs.
Ensure case expenditure is authorised and recorded appropriately.
Contribute to service development through team meetings and council events.
Undertake supervision, performance reviews, and training opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting young people, ideally within a social care or community setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across agencies and within a team.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk assessment.
Organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Commitment to service excellence and continuous personal development.
