Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Assessment Officer to support the Finance team in processing social care funding assessments. This role is vital due to additional workload and requires accuracy, strong financial knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct financial assessments for service users.
Verify income, savings, and expenditures.
Communicate assessment outcomes clearly.
Maintain accurate records and support billing processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and council policies.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in financial or benefits assessments.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of local authority finance preferred.
Compliance Requirements
Basic, Standard, and Enhanced DBS with Barred List – Required
No driving or BPSS check required
