Crynodeb
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated nurse to join our day surgery team, where we also care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. The post holder will: Take charge of a shift and ensure the safe, effective delivery of high-quality, evidence based care. Communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, anaesthetists, healthcare assistants and other allied health professionals. Support and supervise staff, contributing to their professional growth under the guidance of ward sister/charge nurse. Provide patient-focused programmes of care that address the complex and changing health needs of our client group. Ensure the smooth running of the unit in the absence of the ward sister/charge nurse, offering both clinical and managerial leadership. Identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to service development and quality initiatives within the department. Demonstrate flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of a busy and expanding day surgery service.
