We are recruiting on behalf of a leading building services consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions. Their West Midlands office is part of a wider UK and international network, working on projects that support net-zero carbon goals across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, and residential.
Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical design on a range of technically challenging projects. You'll act as a project lead on selected schemes, attend client meetings, and provide expert guidance to junior engineers. This role offers autonomy and variety, with involvement from concept through to completion, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards).
HNC/HND with relevant design experience will also be considered.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit.
- Understanding of UK standards, Building Regulations, and ideally HTMs.
- Familiarity with HV/LV systems, renewable technologies, and BREEAM.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
- Professional membership (CIBSE, IET) preferred.
