Job Responsibilities: Diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with minor illness Health checks, screening and education Chronic disease reviews New patient health checks Height/weight monitoring BP monitoring Phlebotomy Urinalysis Spirometry General health advice, including dietary advice Health surveillance Cervical smears Dressings Routine injections Contraception Minor injuries Routine immunisations and vaccinations Removal of sutures/clips Baby immunisations Provide general and specific health screening for practice patients in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols, with referral to other members of the primary and secondary healthcare team as required. Organise and coordinate the provision of nursing services for the practice, including the delegation of duties to other members of the nursing team as appropriate. The post-holder will participate in the training programme implemented by the Practice as part of their employment, including participation in an annual performance review, maintaining a record of their own personal and/or professional development, taking responsibility for their own development and demonstrating skills and activities to others.
