The Opportunity
A major organisation is undertaking a significant transition project and is seeking an experienced Communications Lead to support the mobilisation and roll-out of all communication activity relating to the creation of a new business entity.
This role requires someone who can step into a complex programme at pace, build structure quickly, and drive both strategic and hands-on communications delivery. You’ll work closely with the internal project team, senior leaders, and wider comms colleagues to ensure clarity, alignment and consistency during the transition.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Establish the communications structure, tools, and outputs for the new organisation.
• Develop both interim and long-term internal communication channels to support colleague onboarding.
• Shape and deliver key messaging throughout the transition, ensuring consistency across all audiences.
• Liaise with wider communications and public affairs teams to ensure aligned external messaging.
• Support community engagement and respond to local stakeholder needs within the Belfast region.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience across internal, external and community communications.
• Strong background in change and transformation communications, ideally within an M&A environment.
• Ability to quickly embed into a programme and operate independently.
• Strong understanding of organisational structures and UK business environments.
• Confidence defining and executing a communications plan from scratch.
• Excellent writing, messaging and content creation abilities.
• Stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple functions.
• Understanding of UK media engagement, particularly within regional settings.
• Experience designing and managing internal comms channels and events.
Additional Information
• Experience is prioritised over formal qualifications.
• Industry background is flexible.
• Full BPSS+ clearance will be required before starting.
