Laboratory Assistant - Key Overview

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Laboratory Assistant to help ensure our finished products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

  • Test our product and related products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Record results accurately and report anything outside specification.
  • Support production by analysing products during processing, bagging and deliveries.
  • Produce customer certificates of conformity.
  • Keep databases and lab records up to date and organised.
  • Carry out routine and non-routine lab tests.
  • Maintain a clean, safe lab environment in line with food safety requirements.
  • Assist senior lab staff with daily tasks.
  • Some manual handling/lifting will be required.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and basic food safety knowledge and understanding is a bonus).
  • Experience in a food or drink quality lab is helpful but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in a lab setting.
  • Good IT skills for data entry.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a valid UK work permit for full-time work.
