Workers Hours per week: 16

Role: Facilities Assistant
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to work as part of the Facilities team rota, undertaking caretaking duties, providing front-line customer service, and responding to help desk requests efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining site security, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and supporting the smooth running of facilities across Ilford and Hainault.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key holder, managing routine and non-routine opening/closing of the site, including alarms.
Ensure buildings and grounds are secure when not in use, deterring trespass and unauthorised parking.
Conduct regular risk assessments of site security, grounds, and contents.
Assist with routine maintenance and reactive repairs, liaising with contractors as required.
Keep the site tidy throughout the year, coordinating with external contractors.
Respond promptly to help desk requests, delivering excellent customer service.
Manage deliveries of equipment, furniture, and materials.
Regularly check public areas and toilets to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Ensure caretaking/cleaning storage areas are tidy, replenishing stocks of cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in facilities, caretaking, or building maintenance roles.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements and COSHH regulations.
Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to support site operations across Ilford and Hainault.
