Senior Sales & Logistics Coordinator / Sales & Logistics Team Leader
Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and hands-on Senior Sales & Logistics Coordinator / Sales & Logistics Team Leader to join our growing manufacturing and distribution business. This role is central to ensuring a seamless flow between customer enquiries, order processing, production scheduling, logistics, and after-sales service—including arranging engineering support for service, repairs, and breakdowns.

You will act as the key point of contact for customers, manage the coordination between internal teams, and help lead continuous improvements across sales operations and logistics. The ideal candidate is commercially aware, confident in customer communication, and experienced in fast-paced environments where accuracy, responsiveness, and problem-solving are crucial.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision of 2 other sales co-ordinators

Sales Coordination

Manage incoming sales enquiries and provide accurate product information, lead times, and quotations.

Process customer orders from initial enquiry through to dispatch.

Maintain CRM and ERP records with a high degree of accuracy.

Support the sales team by preparing proposals, pricing updates, and customer documentation.

Build strong long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and service partners.

Logistics & Operations Coordination

Coordinate with manufacturing, warehousing, and dispatch teams to ensure production and delivery deadlines are met.

Create and issue delivery notes, shipping documents, and logistics instructions.

Organise domestic and international shipments, including courier, pallet, and freight arrangements.

Monitor stock availability and support inventory planning activities.

Liaise with suppliers regarding materials, components, and order status.

Service, Repairs & Breakdowns

Act as the first point of contact for service requests and urgent breakdowns.

Allocate jobs to field engineers or service partners, ensuring timely response and clear communication.

Schedule maintenance visits, repairs, and commissioning work.

Track service jobs from start to completion, ensuring customers receive updates and accurate documentation.

Support warranty claims, parts replacements, and follow-up actions.

Team Leadership (if using Team Leader title)

Provide day-to-day guidance to sales & logistics team members.

Act as escalation point for complex customer or logistics issues.

Support training, onboarding, and development of team members.

Encourage best-practice processes and drive operational improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or engineering services environment.

Strong coordination and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.

Competent in ERP/CRM systems and confident using Excel or similar tools.

Proven experience dealing with customers, suppliers, and external partners.

Ability to remain calm and professional when managing urgent breakdowns or time-critical issues.

Strong communication—written, verbal, and customer-facing.

Desirable

Experience allocating engineering or service jobs.

Knowledge of export documentation and freight processes.

Supervisory or team-leading experience (for the Team Leader version).

Understanding of technical/engineering terminology or products.

Reporting To

UK Branch Manager

Location

On-site with occasional travel to customer or supplier locations (if required).
