As an Early Help Navigator, you will be at the forefront of establishing and nurturing connections within our local community. Your primary goal is to strengthen community bonds, enhance collaboration, and contribute to the overall well-being of local families. You will be part of a dynamic community-based team that ensures that families requiring additional support are identified and helped to access early help at the earliest opportunity. Ensuring practice is underpinned by a Think Family, trauma informed approach.

The Position

This position is a great opportunity to get involved in something new and exciting. You will be an integral part a team that is being created to provide families across Cheshire West and Chester with early help at the earliest opportunity.

You will use your experience to develop relationships with local community representatives and services enabling enhanced collaboration and better outcomes for families.

You will help families:

By being one of the first points of contact in venues across the community.
To identify what issues they are experiencing and to access the support they require.
By being an advocate and helping them by reducing barriers and blockages, enabling them to achieve sustainable outcomes.
By being up to date with available local services and know how to access them.
Be a champion for the Team Around the Family (TAF) approach and contribute to TAF and children’s social care assessments and planning as required.
By being knowledgeable of national services, supporting them to access relevant resources.
By building relationships with the local community so that those in need of early help know who and how to access the support that they may need
Helping to support the service to gather feedback about their lived experience including their experiences of accessing local services.
Identifying opportunities to work in partnership in the community to meet the needs of families.
Make sure that services are accessible by all regardless of protected characteristics, where possible promote co-production
Promote a sense of community in Family Hubs by helping to organise and promote local activities, workshops, and events that enhance social connections and overall well-being.
working with them as individuals and in groups
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as per the Councils recording policy.
The experience you will bring:

Full training and support will be provided. We are looking for a candidate with energy, drive and passion. Experience of the following will be advantageous:

Experience of working in early help, health, education, community development, social care, the charity and voluntary sector or a related field.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
Experience of working with children, young people and their families
Experience of keeping accurate records
A full driving license and enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
