Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:15am - 16:30pm, Friday: 8:15am - 3:15pm
About the Role
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a specialist SEMH environment?
We are partnered with a respected SEMH school located in a small village in Leicestershire (LE12). This specialist SEMH school supports pupils aged 7-16, providing a nurturing, therapeutic environment tailored to their needs. Students are taught in small groups with high levels of staff support, enabling them to build trust, regulate their emotions and re-engage positively with learning.
The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships and use a range of strategies to keep pupils engaged. You will be supporting students across a wide range of lessons including Life Skills, PE, Art, Cooking and Forest School.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing dedicated support to students with SEMH needs through 1:1 and small-group work
- Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons
- Promoting positive behaviour, resilience and emotional development
- Helping students build essential social, life and learning skills
- Contributing to classroom management, safe learning environments and pupil wellbeing
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEMH or SEN setting
- Patient, calm and adaptable approach with a genuine interest in supporting young learners
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS required (or willing to apply)
