Long Term Futures is recruiting a confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Brent. This exciting role combines whole-class teaching through PPA cover with class-based support across all key stages, making it perfect for an experienced practitioner with strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills.

About the Role

You will work closely with teachers and leaders across the school to provide high-quality classroom support and deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing PPA cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 using teacher planning and school curriculum guidance.
- Leading whole-class learning confidently and maintaining strong behaviour expectations.
- Supporting targeted groups and individual pupils in core subjects.
- Working alongside teachers to adapt activities, prepare resources, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Acting as a positive role model who promotes engagement, consistency, and high standards.
- Contributing to the wider school community and supporting staff where needed across the day.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced HLTA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant ready to step into an HLTA-level role.
- Confident delivering lessons and supporting learning across multiple year groups.
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to create calm, structured learning environments.
- Secure subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
- Positive, reliable, and adaptable with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
