Teacher of Art & Design
- PERMANENT TEACHING OPPORTUNITY
- M1 - UPS 3 Salary (Outer London)
- ASAP or January start date
- OUTSTANDING in all aspects
- Must have QTS/PGCE
I am recruiting for a permanent Teacher of Art for a thriving secondary school in Redbridge, East London, to start as soon as possible or from January. The school is looking for a creative, committed Art specialist who can inspire students across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking department and to play a key role in nurturing pupils' creativity and confidence.
As Teacher of Art, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons that develop students' practical skills, visual literacy and understanding of different artistic styles and movements. You will have access to well-resourced Art rooms and will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas for projects, exhibitions and enrichment activities. The school values the Arts highly and is keen for the successful candidate to contribute to a vibrant cultural life within the school.
From my conversations with the school, they are seeking someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils of all abilities. You should be able to demonstrate how you support students to develop their portfolios, refine their techniques and achieve well in their Art qualifications. The school is open to applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs, provided you can show genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a reflective approach to your practice.
If you are an Art teacher looking for a permanent position in Redbridge with a start date ASAP or in January, I would be keen to speak with you. I will take the time to understand your experience and what you are looking for in your next role, talk you through the school's context and expectations, and support you throughout the application and interview process so you can present your skills and creativity with confidence
