Location: Cheltenham

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 3:00 pm)

Salary: £27,628.81 per annum



About the Role:

This position is within the Facilities Management sector of G4S. Our goal is to enhance the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by providing productive, safe, and smoothly functioning work environments.

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in Cheltenham.



Responsibilities:

Kitchen Operations and Hygiene:
Dishwashing & Equipment: Wash, sanitise, and correctly store all equipment and utensils.
Waste & Recycling: Timely and sanitary waste disposal, adhering to site policies.
Facility Cleaning: Assist with sweeping and mopping kitchen and floor areas.
Chemical/Equipment Control: Ensure safe storage and use of all machinery, cleaning materials, and chemicals (COSHH compliant).
Inventory Management:
Stock Control/Receiving: Manage inventory, including receiving/verifying deliveries and ensuring accurate stock rotation.
Supply Staging: Efficiently move and stage supplies/ingredients for kitchen/outlet operations.
Compliance, Safety, and Documentation:
H&S Compliance: Strictly comply with all client and company Health and Safety procedures (e.g., Food/Manual Handling, Fire, PPE, Quality Control).
Safety Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required Food Safety and H&S records.
Hazard Reporting: Maintain cleanliness and immediately report all H&S hazards, issues, near misses, and accidents as per procedure.
Training & Development: Complete all mandatory training as scheduled and ensure documentation is accurate.
General Duties:
Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform other general tasks as reasonably required by the Line Manager.
