Are you a motivated and compassionate nurse looking to develop your skills in orthopaedic and community care? We are looking for a band 6 part-time nurse (30h) to join our dynamic Specialist Team for Orthopaedic Recovery Management (STORM) - and be part of an innovative service supporting patients throughout their entire orthopaedic journey.

The STORM team plays a vital role in facilitating same-day discharge for elective joint replacement patients and providing specialist outreach support for trauma and orthopaedic patients in the community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable nurse who enjoys working both autonomously and collaboratively across hospital and community settings. You will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for helping patients regain confidence and independence after surgery.

If you are ready to bring your expertise, commitment to high-quality care and energy to the STORM team, we would love to hear from you.

As part of STORM team, you will support patients throughout their orthopaedic journey - from pre-operative assessment and education to post-operative recovery in community.

You will facilitate same-day discharges, deliver expert wound care, monitor for complications and provide advice on braces, mobility aids, and rehabilitation.

Working mainly in community setting, you will need to liaise closely with orthopaedics consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive seamless, high-quality care. You will also play a key role in empowering patients and their families with information and support to promote confidence, safety and independence during recovery. As this role involves travel between hospital and community settings you will need a Valid UK Driving License with the ability to drive long distances between work locations and access to own vehicle.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
