We are a growing provider of residential care for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join one of their established homes, working as part of a management team recognised by Ofsted for Outstanding Leadership and Management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Deputy or a Senior Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll play a key role in leading a dedicated team, supporting the Registered Manager, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care that promotes positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Lead and motivate the staff team to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Ensure the home meets all regulatory, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards.
Support with audits, supervision, rota management, and staff development.
Contribute to care planning and ensure children’s individual needs are met.
Be a strong, visible leader and positive role model for both staff and young people.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential.
Experience working in an EBD residential setting.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others.
Excellent understanding of safeguarding and children’s home regulations.
A proactive, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with young people.
Ambition to progress into a Registered Manager role as the organisation continues to grow.
What’s on Offer
Opportunity to work within a management team rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
Genuine career progression and development opportunities – including the potential to become a Registered Manager.
CPD-accredited training and funded qualifications to support your growth.
Supportive leadership and a culture that values quality, compassion, and professional development.
The chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
If you’re a passionate childcare professional ready to take the next step in your career and help lead a high-performing team in an EBD setting, we’d love to hear from you.
