Total Social are working with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Child with Disability Team.
The successful candidate will take the lead in supporting our Looked after Children who have a disability, however, will also support children who are in the process of assessment, being supported via a CIN plan and also CP, PLO and in proceedings.
We are looking for someone who is aspirational for our young people, ensuring that plans and interventions are impactful, and that children and young people's voices are central. Working closely with parents and carers, you will ensure that permanence plans are reviewed including family time, life story work and transitions to adult social care.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
