The Role: This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. During this time, your key duties and responsibilities will include: Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy team to develop individualised rehabilitation plans based on patients’ goals and functional abilities Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions, including upper-limb rehabilitation, cooking groups, and community-based activities. Implement therapeutic activities to improve patients’ motor skills, co-ordination, balance, strength and cognitive functioning. Work with patients on a 1:1 basis, both within the hospital and in the community, to support the development of domestic, self-care, social, or leisure skills under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist, providing updates, queries, or concerns to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) as appropriate. Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey. Educating patients and their families about strategies for maximising independence and managing challenges related to their condition. Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the proper use of occupational therapy equipment.
