Total Social are working with Wokingham Borough Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Safeguarding Team.
Our Safeguarding Teams are looking for a highly skilled Locum Social Worker. By working in close partnership with families and other professionals to understand more about the support families may need to safely and effectively parent, our team’s clear aim is to identify where the appropriate support can be obtained and for the progression of Child in Need and Child Protection Plans to achieve outcomes for children and families.
Adopting relationship based practice, enables us to strive to ensure all our children and families have meaningful and professional encounters with our Social Workers.
The ideal candidate for this role will be dynamic and flexible with great inter-personal skills, excellent recording skills, and a sound knowledge of children’s legislation and thresholds – as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task. We ask that candidates bring with them direct experience within a Child Protection team including court work within the last 18 months.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
