Job Title:
Trainee Demolition Operative (Apprenticeship)

Location:
Various UK sites with block release training at National Construction College, Bircham Newton, Norfolk (residential).

Duration:
2-year structured apprenticeship program starting March 2026.

About the Role:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Demolition Operatives. This role offers hands-on experience in the demolition sector combined with formal training through the Level 2 Demolition Apprenticeship delivered by CITB’s National Construction College.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the safe dismantling and demolition of structures under supervision.
Learn and apply industry standards for demolition and refurbishment projects.
Operate hand tools and small plant equipment safely.
Maintain site safety and adhere to health & safety regulations.
Complete all required coursework and practical assessments during college blocks.
Work collaboratively with experienced operatives and supervisors on live projects.


Training & Qualifications:
Apprenticeship Framework: Level 2 Demolition Operative.
College Attendance: Approximately 18 weeks over 2 years (residential).
On successful completion, you will gain:

Blue CCDO Demolition & Refurbishment Card
Recognised industry qualifications for demolition operations.

Entry Requirements:
Minimum GCSE grades 3–9 (D–A) or Functional Skills Level 1 in English & Maths.
Must be employed on a PAYE basis and meet minimum apprentice wage requirements.
Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
Willingness to travel and stay residentially during training blocks.
