Working Pattern: 7:00 - 15:00 (Monday to Friday)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £13.73 - £15.93

The Cleaning Supervisor (Audit) will play a key role in supporting the Quality Assurance Manager and the audit team to maintain a safe, hygienic and well-presented environment across both clinical and non-clinical areas.

​This varied role involves carrying out cleaning, catering, ward environment and waste management audits in line with national requirements, including the National Standards of Cleanliness (2021), PLACE and Healthcare Standards C21 and C4a.

You will be responsible for completing daily audits, recording results and following up any actions using the MICAD system. The post is primarily based at Princess Royal University Hospital, with occasional work at Orpington Hospital, Beckenham Beacon or other sites as needed.

The Role

Conduct daily technical cleaning standards inspections across clinical and non-clinical areas in line with NSC NHS 2021.

Record audit findings using the Medical Audits software in accordance with all relevant NHS and CQC standards.

Participate in external cleaning audits at other NHS Trusts when required.

Identify and escalate recurring issues related to cleaning, catering or waste management standards.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and other relevant legislation during monitoring activities.

Support the Quality Assurance Manager in compiling audit data for monthly reporting.

Contribute to the review and improvement of monitoring systems to promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Liaise with Service Managers to report faults and ensure equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.

Undertake any required training, including mandatory courses such as Manual Handling.
