What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who can provide a variety of activities for children staying to before and after school club. They will be aware of the health and safety requirements and keeping children safe in school. They will be able to work as part of a team to provide care and support for children and able to liaise with parents and staff. The suitable candidate will be flexible and may have experience of working with children in or outside of an educational environment. They will be willing to follow direction and report any requirements in terms of food or resources to the Headteacher in a timely fashion. The candidate will be prepared to train in first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding practices.
What the school offers its staff
Our Federation offers a cooperative team working in an inclusive environment where we aim support our young people to be the best they can be. We are committed to growing our school community and as such are providing a wraparound care facility in order to appeal to working parents. We have fantastic facilities and grounds which can be used throughout before and after school clubs however the candidate would like to use them. We want to grow the hours and the take up of places however presently the need is weak and we are managing to man provision amongst our present staff, this gives its own challenges though and to move forward we need a specific person to take on the role or to share the roles of support for wraparound care.
We can offer suitable training within the role and in the role of support within schools.
